Methods
Methods are the toolbox of agricultural economists.

Methods are needed to find relationships and to gain new knowledge. A broad variety of methods is available for research in different fields. It starts with statistical analyses that are used to explain the past and draw conclusions for future. Mathematical programming models can be used for the simulation of the impact of different factors as climate change or new technologies on the behavior of farmers. Other important methods in agricultural economics are tools for risk analysis.
